Meet Yolanda

CO-FOUNDER, TRAUMA AND PTSD SPECIALIST

Hi, I’m Yolanda. This is the part where I’m supposed to tell you about my education, certification, training, experience, etc. So here goes! I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of South Florida. I’m a Master Accelerated Resolution Therapy Clinician, Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator, and have trained with the leading experts in the field of trauma, shame resiliency, self-compassion, and relationships. I have worked in this field for a decade, helped research evidence-based therapies, and am a TEDx Speaker. BUT, most importantly… I’m human, with a dry/sarcastic sense of humor at that. I love to laugh, but I’m not afraid to sit with others in the hard places of life, as well. And, I hold fierce hope for people when they find it impossible to do so for themselves, so they can find healing.

What your day of healing will include:

Your Consultation

Your pre-intensive phone consultation will help us to get clear about your goals so that we can start from the moment you walk through the door. During this 15 minute phone call, we will discover whether is this is the best fit for you, to get an understanding of what you’re looking for from the intensive, and to answer any questions you have.

The Secret Sauce

After a decade of studying brain science, as a Master of Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), we have created a powerful healing recipe combining ART along with a 20 year study by Brené Brown on shame resiliency, and practices of self compassion. ART is an effective eye movement technique that helps us focus, and eventually allow for creative, long-lasting problem solving, self-compassion, and motivation to undertake healthy activities. We have seen it change lives in our work at the Combat Veterans Retreats, and through studies which we have contributed to. The Individual Intensive with Harper is focused on jump-starting your goals over 2 days, with sessions in the morning and afternoon of both days. This totals in 8 hours of intensive, highly individualized therapy.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy is an effective eye movement technique that helps the brain to process things more deeply, allowing for creative and long-lasting problem solving.

Lunch

On your own each day. A break for your mind, emotions, spirit, and body and a reminder to nourish yourself emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually instead of pushing through to a state of burnout.

Therapeutic Activity

You will choose an activity that will help continue to calm your nervous system and embed the work from the day. Choose from massage (cranial sacral or relaxation), acupuncture, reiki, or yoga that will help ingrain the benefits of the therapy more deeply.

Follow-up Support

One 2-hour session or Two 1-Hour Sessions to help you put the tools you learn during the intensive into practice. If you’ve traveled from out of town for the intensive, we can make arrangements for a follow up video session, if needed. Or, you can plan another trip to Tampa and hang out at our beautiful beaches! The follow up support session(s) must be completed within 30 days of your intensive date, so please keep that in mind when scheduling.

Your Investment

We currently have three levels of investment for our intensives. At all levels, you receive 10+ hours with a therapist with experience and training in either Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. As detailed above, this is complemented by a Relaxation Activity , and robust follow up support.
